Freight charges are based on whichever is greater: actual weight or volumetric weight.
Volumetric Weight (kg) =
(L cm × W cm × H cm) ÷ 6,000

Example: 60 × 40 × 50 cm = 120,000 ÷ 6,000 = 20 kg vol. weight

How To Prepare Your Shipment

Step 01
Use Appropriate Packaging
Use new, double-walled corrugated boxes rated for the weight of your contents. Avoid reusing old boxes showing signs of wear or water damage.
Step 02
Cushion All Contents
Fill all void space with bubble wrap, foam inserts, or packing peanuts. Items should not shift when the box is shaken.
Step 03
Label Correctly
Affix your air waybill label on the largest face of the package. Include both origin and destination addresses inside the package as a backup.

Tender & Retrieval Time

Meeting cargo cut-off times is critical. Missing the tender window may result in your shipment being held to the next available flight.

General Rule: Tender 2 hours before departure
All cargo must be tendered to the Flair Cargo station no later than 2 hours before scheduled departure. Retrieval is available within 4 hours of arrival.

Shipments presented after the cut-off time will be held for the next available Flair flight. Rebooking fees may apply.

Packaging & Documentation

Packaging Requirements

All packaging must be IATA-compliant and capable of withstanding the rigors of air transport.

  • New or like-new corrugated cardboard, rated for gross weight
  • All void spaces filled — no movement inside the box
  • Sealed with pressure-sensitive tape (minimum 5 cm wide)
  • No string, twine, or wire as primary closure
  • Sharp edges protected to prevent puncture
  • Fragile items double-boxed with minimum 5 cm cushioning
  • Liquids in sealed, leak-proof inner container
  • Labels affixed flat — no wrapping around edges

Required — All Shipments
Air Waybill (AWB)
The primary contract of carriage. Generated in CargoVision. eAWB preferred; paper AWB available at additional cost.
Required — Special Commodities
Shipper's Declaration
Required for any shipment containing goods classified as dangerous goods under IATA DGR.
May Be Required
Additional Certificates
Safety Data Sheet (SDS), phytosanitary certificate, CITES permit, or customs documentation depending on commodity.
